My Keyboard went offline for 2 days! Disconnected from my pc and cant used it at all. The only thing way I could wander around was with my mouse and it such a pain in the *** (neck , ass wherever U want to put the pain in).
I was able to surf around but I can't type or send message. Friend mention that there were people that I might like to speak to online but even if I am able to activate the messenger ... I cant type nada ... sigh ... if i turn it on and my frens msg me ... all i can do is to stare back at it.
surfing was also quite ma fan ... can only visit sites that I frequent and are store either on my favourite folder or history folder ... and there a forum that i visit which always ask me to re log in again that was impossible with the current state my computer was in.
I can't tell you how thankful I finally got back control of my keyboard ! It's alive !!!
only to find out that my mouse went mia ... argh .. gotto restart it and hope both of them will be back in my control ... sigh

Discovery Channel Quote
In life, nothing is certain
If you feel frighten, Don’t
Embrace the uncertainty
Allow it to lead you to places
Don’t waste time with regret
Take each moment as it comes
And if you ever find yourself lost
Simply take a break and start all over again
It's one of the advertising quotes played for Discovery Channel's ads on the top selection of documentaries this year and somehow, it help me answer some of the question that I have for my future and relationship matters.
Yes, it's advertising but it's also a good motto to have in life.

Quote of the Day
The definition of a man!
A Life Supporting system for a Penis

Was trying to find a book for my friend to help him get over his recent heartbreak and found this quote which crack me up. Very hard to argue that it's not correct : )

What are the odds ?
Was rushing to Suntec to meet my friend to pass her some dvds and vcds, the bus that I was in refused to close it's door properly. I believed it's a hazard to drive with a door that's not close properly, the jolly bus drive apologize and inform us that we gotto get down.
As it was my first time, I was wondering why passengers form a line and made their exit at the front, tapping their ezlink card and getting a bus ticket from the bus driver before they alight instead of leaving at the other exits.
I kinda "know" that there will be some sort of refunds and the refund should be made via rebate thru ezlink but I got no idea what is the bus driver handling out ... ticket to complain ?
Anyway i just follow suit and queue to get the ticket. It was bloody long and I was worried cos it look like it's going to rain and I dont want to get caught in the rain to my next destination after meeting my friend.
When I alighted, I took a good look at the ticket and realized it's a complimentary ride! Yeah the cheapo in me was cheering !!! Not too bad ! a free ride and a free ride ! hehehe if only it was one stop from my final destination, i would walk the rest of the way but then it was too far and the skies looked too gloomy.
The next ride came along fairly soon and I met my friend, gone for my next appointment and soon, my day activities came to an end. I board on another bus, heading home and I got a weird feeling.
I don't recall the last time I was in a bus that broke down before the journey's end. A crazy thought came into my mind ... what if the bus that I am taking home breaks down too ?? hehe I made my plans in case that scenario happens, then forgot about it and start checking out fellow passengers.
AND what Do U know ? at the bus stop before my final stop, I smelled something burnt. I was seating at the back, near the engine and my seat was getting hot. My sense was buzzing and the feeling to leave this bus was overwhelming !
I jumped out of my seat and rush to the exit. Just when my feet left the bus, I heard a loud explosion. The seat that i was in was in flame and the passenger that was beside me was being burnt alive. I stared at it in disbelief ... it could have been me
Nah, it didn't happen that way la. But hey if U believe for a moment, please let me know : ) The Burnt smell was true and so was me jumping out of the seat as it was getting hot and I dont want my butt to get damaged by the heat.
I got a feeling that the afternoon event is repeating itself again and I waited near the exit. True enough, after one or two seconds later, the bus driver broke the news that the bus is down and we gotto alight right now.
Guess who is among the first to get the free ticket from the bus driver ?
But I am very amused by the events that happened today. I don't recall the last time I was in a bus that broke down and it occurred twice today. What are the odds ?

Longevity Rain
It's raining the whole day today and it's not just the day, it was 24 hours of rain. The only time I remember non-stop rain was when I was in primary school.
Some might think it's an indication that our environment had finally gone screwy due to pollutions but to me, it had another special indication.
Someone once read my fortune for me and foretold me that it's either that I will die young or live to a grand old age. It might seem foolish cos that someone isn't in the fortune telling profession but something happened to me before that I made me believe that person. The biggest obstacle will happen in my twenties and if I made it thru, I might get to live to be a old tiko pek.
It might have no implication at all and I might be thinking too much (again) but I welcome to endless rain. Good to cool down and unwind too.

Kanna Recall
While out covering Mr Chow's visit, I received a call from a NSF informing that I gotto go back for RT* every Tue n Thur Night
* RT: for those who dont know , it's Remedial Training for those who don't pass their IPPT (physical test = not fit enough)
Was rather surprised at the call becos 1) I haven't even gone for a IPPT test yet and 2) I failed my last medical so badly that I been deemed as unfit for service.
If it wasn't 1) I done similar stuff during my tour of duty (calling NSmen back for medical check up n etc), 2) I have a hidden desire to do my IPPT again (yeah for an attempt for some award money and a good reason to do keep fit again)and 3) that I think there something fishy going on and would want to discover what going on, I would tekan (punish) the NSF until jialat jialat.
So for the reasons above .. I played along .. declare my last medical results and even question why I didn't get a letter from them instead ... the NSF guy was good enough to play along until I think he knew he was getting nowhere with me ... yeah not falling for it and he told me to call his supervisor to clarify
RIGHT !!! Call his supervisor up ??? don't think I will ever waste even 1 cents on NS siah ... TOLD him to ask his supervisor to call me instead
and in a little while, a familiar number appeared on my hp ... somebody too free siah ... Must call their unit up and suggest some work for them to do ah

Frequent Flyer Miles
Here we go again ... kanna fly aeroplane again ...
my friend ask me to send his regards to a certain celebrity later and I told him that it was cancel a few hours ago before he send me the msg
not that i am sore abt the cancellation but it just happen last friday, the same organiser cancelled our scheduled interview with another group of celebrities at the very last moment
so i told my friend that
"this past few days, we flew so much that we can redeem our frequent flyer miles for a trip to the moon and back"
Disclaimer: i am not upset .. that comment was just to make light of the two no show events that just happened this week ... my fren did crack up enough to laugh at it ... so if u happen to be someone in the local media ... pls dont take it so seriously hor or go spread the news hor
I don't think the organiser did it to spike us or make a fool out of us ... there was some miscommunication and we being rather small compared to the big media in this little red dot is pretty much expendable.
The organiser are also sometime helpless with the demands of the stars ... so can't really blame them as they were nice enough to give us the opportunity to do an interview with the stars
Sometimes, I also felt that althought we are small fish in the local media arena and had to face woes of the pecking order, Singapore by consideration in the world wide media stage is considered to be a very small fish in a big pond. What we are going thru might be exactly what they are going thru too
and plus i am kinda dreading to attend this two events so I am not that upset that it turned to be a no show for us even tho I did some prep for it : ) More time to do my own work too
Hope the tomorrow date with Mr Chow won't be turn out to be that bad : )

A mad Rush for Free Singapore Dreaming
A couple of days ago, my friend pass me the latest Singapore Dreaming Postcard from ZOCards issued for the release of Singapore Dreaming Dvd/Vcd in Singapore. I didn't noticed it until later that night when I flipped the card over and discovered that there's a special giveaway copies of Singapore Dreaming at Crocodile outlet at Vivo City.
It's limited to 200 and I assumed that by the time I read it, the Kaisu Singaporean would have gotten them all ... even those who are not fans of the show.
I don't know why but I got a very strong urge to call the Crocodile outlet at Vivo City to see if there are any remaining copies of Singapore Dreaming not redeemed. I kept putting it off until I went for my jog and got more Singapore Dreaming Postcards during my jog.
I thought "aiyah, why not just give them a call ... at the most they can just tell me that they are out of stock and I can put it off my mind"
To my surprise, I was told there's some copies left!
So off to a mad rush down to Vivo City (my friend warned me that it's Vivo City Grand Openning today) and there's even fireworks going off right in front of me when I drove there.
Reaching there, there was some crowds as expected but it wasn't that bad as my friend warned me. It was a bit difficult to navigate at Vivo City as the signs are not exactly clear. But I made it to the outlet in time before closing time.
Initially I asked if they got any copies left and they brought me to the counter. Just before they were going to get me one copy, the Mr. Kaisu in me came out and asked ... "Can I get more? for my friends"
Ever ready for rejections ... I braced myself for the "No" reply or "Company Policy" excuse but Surprise Surprise, the supervisor asked how many more copies do I want ..
Initially I wanted another 4 copies for my friends who loved this movie but before I can make it clear to the supervisor, he ask how many postcards I brought down and match the number of postcards that I brought down.
Kinda shocked but in a happy state : )
So friends who’s a fan … you should be getting this as a Christmas Present.
