People Spotting at Plaza Sin's Carl Jr

Was at Carl Jr chatting and watching people walking by ... just to show how popular Plaza Sin is ... I met 3 couples that was in part the different phase of my life

the first pair was my Poly ECA advisor with his wife > I spotted my advisor's wife first and then i noticed him, pushing a tram with 2 kids .... went after him and had a chat

the next pair was my Uni frens who are a couple now> wanted to go out and speak to them but something held me back ... in the end, i msg the girl and she told me that the last time i met her, it was at a Carl Jr too!

the last pair was my ex's parents > was leaving Carl Jr and bump into them ...

Didn't know Plaza Sin Carl Jr is such a great place to meet up people that I normally won't meet...

Now who's next ???

My Dad's Happy When ...

Mom informed me that my Grandma's ops over and now send to observation ward... then she grumbled about my Dad who is suddenly so on about staying in the hospital for such a long period of time and leave everything else aside ... then she mention

"i think your Dad is lonely ... that why he so happy staying in the hospital, looking at the nurses and ..."

she stopped at the moment ... and I burst into laughter ... : )

Of cos my Dad's happy at the hospital ... the nurses are pretty young and pretty (did i say pretty twice?) ... plus they wear the tight nurses uniform

Cop663: Did I leave the tap running, or is the apartment getting more tearful? I always thought it would cope okay. Didn't expect it to cry so much. When people cry, they can dry their eyes with tissues. But when an apartment cries, it takes a lot to mop it up.

Today my shower tap broke, thanks to my sister's maid ... and oh boy the tap was blasting out like no tomorrow .... had to force the tap back .... a situation that I didn't really want to find myself in but hey ... since things come forcing their way, I just had to bit the bullet and fix it once n for all ...

lucky i was able to screw the tap back but it continue to leak ... only when we off the main, then we are able to stop the water from flowing out from the tap ... when my Mom took a shower, I had to on n off the water from the main source.

so funny ... my apartment seems like its getting as emotional as Cop663's one ... but I just didnt expect it to bawl like that ... I wonder how to console my apartment

Grandma, Matchmaker ?

Had a moment alone with Grandma as my Dad & Aunties went out to consult the doctor on my Grandma status ... while holding her hand and comforting her, she asked me

"Will your GF be visiting me?"

Haiz ... I wonder how to tell them when my Old folks or the young bugger asked about her, not sure if they will ever understand ... so I told her

"No, She won't be coming" ... and softly whisper "ever again" ... not sure whether she heard the last bit cos she is a bit hard of hearing but i am more or less prepare to go thru this ordeal again

Surprising she said: "Don't worry, when I am out,I will introduce a girl to you, she is very gua, just finished her studies in Australia and now working in a law firm"

I almost burst into laughter ... OH MY, issit that bad till my Grandma need to match make for me ???? hmmmm why does Gua sound Nerdy to me ?? and I don't think I want another relationship yet

So I thank her ... almost wanted to tell her that i rather take my chances on my own but thought it would be rude ...

then she uttered: "if I get to leave the hospital"

hmmmmmmmmmmmm that sound so depressing ... in order to cheer her up ... I pretend that I am desperately want to meet up with this Gua girl .... so she gotto recover soon so can match make me and that girl up ...

The Fall

Grandma had a bad fall at Orchard mrt station ... was quite bad as she couldnt get up and need to be send to the hospital

Seems that she was walking down and missed a couple of steps.

Some folks from Hong Kong helped her and this tough o Grandma of mine wanted to go home ... they took the train back but at the interchange, she realized it's really bad so they alighted at Marina South for my folks to pick them up

Poor Grandma ... She is one strong independent cookie but this fall might restrict her movement from now on .... dont think she is one that will sit still for long and I am expecting ops ... but old folks going for ops is a pretty scary thing for them ... haiz

He Won BEST ACTOR !!!!

Months ago ... I made this "wishful thinking" and guess what ... HE WON !!! no he is not going to share anything with me .... don't think he even know that there a fan in Singapore that enjoyed his performance that much but hey I am very happy for him.

Was rather amused that Both Stefan and my Mom informed me about his victory ... But my HP was out of batt and I was out with fren so didnt know abt the news until so much later ... Mom saw the award ceremony and said his wife cried when he won ...

Good for him ... Finally after all this time!

Seeing how his wife goes teary up made me feel so emotional for them too ... sticking with him thru all the crappy movies he made and even when it seems that his golden age is over ...

hehe even the MCs of the evening all said they go teary up

Good Move ! Impressive !!! He is actually aware of what some Singaporean think about his pay increase and his self sacrificial move make him look less obtuse ... the image that the government had been projecting to me since they increase their pay

10KM RUN ??

Was chatting with my old frens abt excersing in general ... told them I been running but getting kinda bored with it since there isn't any goal in sight... one of them suggested taking up Thai Boxing (which I thought was pretty crazy plus $$$ ex) and POO suggested taking part in the 10KM run that hosted by the company below hmmmm that suggestion immdiately sparks me up ... so far, i know i am able to complete at least 2.4km and the longest jog I did was 20mins ... it seems possible (tho quite difficult) to take up this 10KM challenge.

POO will start trainning in 3 weeks time while Me, the out of shape guy should start cracking asap ....

10KM run ... I wonder will I be able to complete it .... POO mention there Cert and medal to win/collect if complete the 10km run ... I love to collect such honours : )

The race will start at the end of the year, 2 Dec 07 ... let the countdown begins
