How to get the Girl : )

During my visit to my friend's hometown in Sandakan, I managed to catch this TVB Hong Kong series by Dayo Wong. He played the famous Wong Fei Hong ... arch rival, Gan Yan Kin. It was in Canto but without English Subs and I felt the picture quality wasn't as nice as ones we get on SCV.

Anyway, it's finally being played in Singapore's Cable TV.

The Concept is quite unique as any Movie or Tv Series featuring Wong Fei Hong would normally place him as the lead but in this comedy, the focus is on the baddie, a reverse from the norm.

What makes this series so appealing to me in this series is how they contrast these two characters and demostrating why there are girls who like "bad" guy (Men not bad, Woman No Likie ah). hehehe even used this TV series to "teach" a friend of mine who is too nice to the ladies. Must be notti a bit ... tease the girls more and take advantage when possible ... hahaha

Loved this series so much that I even nicked myself as Gan Yan Hin (Hin is the last character of my official Chinese first name). FYI Gan Yan means the Wicked One. If only I can be as Gan as the Man : )

The series is coming to an end on SCV cable tv but not to worry ... Channel 8 or U will pick up soon.

$ $ $ "恋におちたら When I Fall in Love"

recently, I was out with Stefan and we saw a couple that looked rather mixed match ... the girl is super pretty with big round eyes and the guy ... well cant really see his eyes and his tummy is bigger than my uncle ... i tried to see what she see in him and the answer that Stefan gave was it's either Big Car, Big Dick or Big Wallet ... (technically Big Wallet and Big Car mean the same thing .. Big $)

Not to say that every Ladies are attracted to the guy's wallet only but after talking to a few female friends recently ... there are a few common factors that they shared ... if the guy is not able to provide some of $ stability , it's not likely the girl will take a risk with him ...

it really boil down to No Money No Talk cos Talk is Cheap


and that what i like about this series ... when the lead character Suzuki Shimao (Kusanagi Tsuyoshi) crashes with the his antagonist about the pros & cons of achieving more wealth ... I stood by Suzuki Shimao's point of view about the simplicity of life and what the point in over achieving ?

but then ... life got a way to teach you a lesson

Lucky I didn't have such a tragic encounter like Suzuki Shimao in this tale, but I am beginning to understand the importance of money just as he is going thru in this drama series ... tho his antagonist is teaching his the hard facts of being wealthy, I am sure that the protagonist will find a way to become rich without losing his soul


and of cos ... there the girl factor to encourage our hero to achieve the financial success

So Every SAT 9 - 11pm or Every SUN 9 - 11am ... I will be in front of the TV screen for another 5 weeks

2 drops of tears

I came across this segment while having lunch ... I didnt know what John Cho did to the Old guy but somehow there is this familiarity in this scene that I could guess what had happen

It's never easy to ask for forgiveness ... initially, I couldn't feel John's sincerity but in the end, it was a such great build up for the final emotional outburst ... the touch, the breakdown and the sense of forgiveness ...

It was so overwhelming that 2 drops of tears fell on my lap ... till now, when I watch this scene over again ... I still go teary up

with a Taiwan TV SEriES !!!

oh my gosh ... I used to hate Taiwan tv series, specially the teenagers ones with a passion ... But being bored n nothing much to do .. I left the TV running on Channel 56 and there this theme song that I liked (which turn out to be 惡作劇, the mtv below)

I really dig that chorus ...

I even got the song on my HP now ... been listenning to it a few times before I dift to dreamland ... it's also my special ringtone now : )

and then the first thing that caught my attention was this guy ..

strangely his aloof mannerism is attracting me big time ... dig his korean standard hairdo and that body of his ... I think I will turn gay for him if he ask me to !! drool siah ... got some more pics of him n that "cute" co star that other guys most likely will be drooling for (but not me .. not even slightly attracted to her at all)
