Almost gave an incoming call a miss because I thought it was coming from folks who are asking why I was Late for a Gala at Great World. Lucky in the end I pick it up because it was from the Library informing me that I won a pair of movie passes to watch “Rumour Has It” : )

Uncle Bill Tung has passed away

Just saw the news on sgfilm forum and monkeypeaches. Pretty sad about it. Bill Tung, well known Hong Kong actor has passed away on Thursday of Lung Failure. He was 72 years old.

I grew up watching "It's a Mad Mad Mad World" franchise and will always remember his "getting rich dreams" and his "penchant " for overweight big size ladies. He also appeared and played the supporting roles in many Hong Kong movies, notably in Jackie Chan's Police Story franchise.

Pepsi Coffee ?

Yup We don't have it but across the Causeway, there's Pepsi Tarik! Pepsi with the Coffee flavour ! Well it tasted more like sour chocolate soft drink at first but when I was reaching the last few mouthful, it actually started to taste like Coffee!

Me ! hehehehe first time that Ch5 pick me for the contest that they are organizing. well fingers crossed and hope I will be selected in the shortlist round to go for the Oscar Marathon!

have already seen 2 out of the 5 movies that will be shown during the marathon and will be watching another one tonight ... sigh that the only reason that make me sian about going for the marathon.

But then I never been to a movie marathon and hey, I might catch something I missed while watching the 2 movies that I seen before. So I am still very excited over the whole event!

Thinking of going in tracksuit and bring along a thermal flask (considering Pillow too!) ! hey who said movie marathon is an easy thing to do ? They called it a marathon becos like any other marathon; you have to suffer work for it!

Kit Kat Wine Version !

After Kip mentioned about the Wine Flavour Kit Kat, I came across a whole rack of Kit Kat in different Flavours at CentrePoint Cold Storage : ) There the Dark Chocolate, Strawberry and Noir version. Not exactly cheap but I was very interested to find out how does the Wine Flavour Kit Kat taste like : )

was disappointed that it's such a small bar

the Funny thing is that it doesn't taste like wine at all. It has that grape bubblegum flavour to it. It's not too bad but at the price of $5 per box, I dont think I will be getting another box to consume.

Hospital Oxley

Yup it's pretty bad, Dad been sick for a long time liao and insisted on Not seeing a Doctor. Mom fell sick this evening and just now, Denise also complained about a Fever coming up.

All three of them are taking up different rooms and when I was checking on them, I felt like a doctor doing ward visits in a hospital.

I don’t know how long until I kanna affected by what passing around in my place too.

CNY 10: River Hong Bao

I never been to a River Hong Bao before or as far I can remember, I never been to one before. So today is the first time and the whole thing was kinda not-happening. Not much diff from a pasar malam to me leh except it’s done beside the Singapore River and during the CNY period.

The first thing I saw was a Fat Humongous Artist peddling her VCDS (or DVds, i am not sure, didnt really go near to see what she was selling). I saw her once on a Taiwan Variety show before and now it was quite a sad sight actually, she was seating there, wearing shining purple dress that revealing too much flesh than required and trying to cajole passerby to buy whatever she was selling. It was like a freak show. How did an artist like her get so low?

anyway the highlight of this trip to River Hong Bao gotto be the fireworks : )

and while walking back, I came across the "Pin Tang Hu Lu", U know those U see in Wuxia movies where kids loved to buy it! they even have a recorded tape playing nearby that mention that.

It tasted like those preserved fruits U get during Chinese New Year. It's sweet and sour taste and too many seeds in it. only $1 so can try la

the last interesting thing we saw before we left was this lady above making candy sweets with shape of butterfly , dragon and many more. Folks who are interested, pay $3 and U can have a spin to see which shape u get : ) if u dont like it , pay double the price and U can get whatever design u want

In the end Denise Tan won becos Richard got the Black 8 Ball in before all the other balls was in the pocket : ) yup I rather lose the game by myself than let her win me : )

Limited Edition for Kit Kat ???

Amazing ! I can't believe my eyes when I saw the Kit Kat Limited ED of Kit Kat Lemon CheeseCake Flavour at a Petrol Kiosk. Interesting, Chocolate waffle also got Limited Ed one ah!

The Smell was quite a turnoff for me at first when I opened the wrapper but the taste was really like a Lemon cheesecake and it's pretty good! Hope there will be regular edition eventually for this flavour

Sun Burnt and weak Knees

It’s back to the basketballs court for me with friends from MX and boy I am really out of shape. Me knees never hurt like that before! Must be too much weight above. Still it was fun playing 2 on 2 with the guys from 1030am to 2pm and we sort of accomplish some prep needed for the up coming short film that we are planning to do.

By the time we left each other, I was pretty burnt, not physically only but my arm’s skin was red like cherry! Hehehe oh when I was taking a train back, I realized that I didn’t change my clothing and was wondering if people around me can smell it too or not … mental note: must change clothing after next “work out”

CNY 7 : YU Sheng, Nian Gao and Wining at Mahjong!

My Favourite CNY day after the first day of CNY! Everyone's Birthday today!

Technically this is the first day to toss the Yu Sheng but nowadays Yu Sheng are being served even days before CNY Eve.

ANd then there the Nian Gao ! hehehe another favourite food to look forward to every CNY! Sliced into thin pieces and dip into a flour mix with egg. Then Deep Fried until Golden Yellow! YUM YUM !

After celebrating CNY 7th day, seems that my luck had also gotten better (it's either that or I met someone who "gave" me luck as I coach him how to play Mahjong) and Won quite a few games quickly! Good Tiles keep coming to me! Technically I won $28 but then again, the chips are for show only.

It's just great to be winning again!

CNY 6 : Indian Poker

Went to my Old Secondary School Friend, Damon's place for a CNY gathering (with Victor & ZVS and their spouses) and we end up playing a game Damon introduced us long time ago >> Indian Poker.

The game is easy; every one draws a card and put it on their forehead, revealing the card to everyone else but themselves. Then base on what each player see on the other's forehead, he or she gets to fill a forfeit drink as much as who he or she think is the loser. In the end, whoever got the smallest card will have to drink whatever quantity filled in the cup.

We used to play with water and this time round, we played with red / white wine and some Jim Bean!

Victor and I were the biggest losers of this game; both of us took turn in drawing the smallest card and drowning ourselves with liquor. We turned pretty Red and damn high, laughing at almost every single thing.

it wasn't too long when I kong out and had to drift off into dreamland.

Victor was able to continue playing in a drunken state and by the time I woke up, I was in time to witness his 2nd puking. (See picture below)

Not long later, as we were making our way to the car park, it was my turn to puke my guts out! Strangely Puking is both a horrible and great feeling. It’s a horrible feeling cos your stomach is forcing everything out and everything smells terrible but then the choking feeling is gone.

Anyway thanks to ZVS’s patting and water to wash my vomit stained hands and mouth. Hehehe Denise was standing far away becos my vomiting sounds is inducing her to vomit too. Sigh both Victor and I must thanks our partners for taking care for us later in the night, Specially Denise for tucking me in and driving me back home.

CNY 6 : Long John Silver 's Birdie?

~The Parrot was getting too comfortable on my shoulder some said it was becos my shoulder got flesh and enough surface area for the Parrot to stand on~

~hehehe I was kinda worried that the Parrot might fall down when I sit/stand up straight and it might peck my eyes if I look at it ... so many worries siah~

I was on TV with Fann Wong!

Was dispatch by Moviexclusive to cover the opening ceremony of Jack's Neo latest film “Just Follow Law” with Gurmit Singh and Fann Wong! It was pretty early for me, still suffering from CNY "fever" and lost my way to the venue of the opening ceremony (had Mental Block of the location and the Old Road directory in my car does not cover the venue) but still the overall event went well : ) wasn’t late and got to chat with Jack Neo and Gurmit Singh some more ...
