the bowling ball ate my thumb

brought my American Friends out for a makan at Marina SQ BBQ and bowl a couple games ...

it's been too long and losing touch with the game ...

anyway after 2 games, i noticed that my fingers got blood stain on it ... was wondering where did the blood came from .. could it that someone left blood inside the balls holes ?'was worried abt aids for a while but then upon closer inspection ... i saw there's a chip inside the thumb's hole n it's my thumb tat's bleeding ...

funny i dont feel a thing

maybe my whole arm was too tired to feel anything or my skin getting thicker

a lovey dovey sms from a unknown number

received a sms early in the morning that kinda shock me ... it was an unknown number and the sms mention that the person is in town for a short while and would like to meet up with me ... and ending with "sweetie" and "miss me"

wah liew er ... who could it be ? a surprise visit by someone from my past ? an old flame? or a prankster ???

turned out to be one of my uni dinner group friend who going to be in town with her hubby for a couple of days ...

this last week of May is getting more n more packed

dreamt that i was back in poly

rushing for a project and we stayed up till early morning ... took a taxi back n along the expressway, the taxi flipped sideways ...

lucky the driver was able to prevent the taxi from flipping for more than once

but i remember holding on the side car handle for my dear life ... thinking "not again"

then we reach a group mate place n was openning the door as quietly as we could .. but my fren's folk suddenly opened the door n started to scold my fren for coming back so late

and we had to explain to his parent that we had to finish a project in school ... after which they lighten up ... and welcome us ... then they mention sometihng about one of my friend who look like a Hong Kong actress ...

at that point , i woke up

why am i blogging this ? i dont know .. maybe becos it was vivid .. or i think it must be damn bored .. or becos i cant sleep now after waking from it and after "reformating" my laptop, i dont have win words software installed and there no way of recording it ... so blogging it will be the only way of keeping record of it ... i dont want to remember that dream anymore and would like to go back to sleep now

now my laptop's turn

seems like computers are taking their turns to die on me ... my laptop just hang upon startup of Window n refuse to do anything ..

the only thing i could do was to load the Recovery Disc n reboot the whole thing...

now pretty much what I have done with the Laptop are all gone

starting from zero again ... lucky accessing the internet with the laptop is a darn easy task

are they bored?

is there really nothing to do in Singapore ?

just got a few friend over from the states... a couple of my parents' old friends who drop by every couple of years , visitin old friends and the places they stayed during their younger days

so we started off meeting at the usual popiah makan place (which was the same stop the last time they visited) and after eating lunch, we went to the famous kaya toast shop for kopi (makan again)

the older folks were okie ... their 2 grandkids were afraid that it's going to be makan after makan ... and it looked like that going to be the case

running out of ideas on where to bring them around ... shopping anit that great cos pretty much what we got, they got it ... cheap stuff, u can get it from Thailand , pirated stuff, in JB, KL or even laggi best Penang

sigh it was a day out with them and listenning to what they got to say about the place they were from n the things they do back at their country that made me feel super bored in Singapore ... and maybe years of living in boredom had made me accustom to it that I didn't even realized it ...

must think of something to do ... i am just worried that they might be bored

my cpu just did a easter sunday

it's back to normal again ! after i backup most of my stuff and deleted them from my pc, unhook my cable internet and other stuff ... everything seems to be back to norm when i turn on my pc after a day of not touching it.

the size n picture quality are all back to their normal state .. it felt like easter sunday for me

but still i made up my mind that I will be reformating it n reinstall it with window xp : ) so until i get my xp installer from my friend ... i will be working from my old lappie (which had weather the "lonely" uni days)

I think my computer just died

kahput ... gone

or maybe not that bad ... it just that everything is presented in "Safe Mode" and the font size had gone crazy. the good part of this would be that it's actually operating fast and the normal lagging that I always experience with my computer are gone. but then I cant stand this presentation.

Think it's time to reformat (once i am done backing up)

My Yesasia package had arrived and I got it during my way out to ferry my mom around. She noticed that I got a Vcd (The Peach Blossom Land) that got Brigitte Lin Ching Hsia on the cover and ask if she could watch it tonight as there nothing good on TV.

So later that evening, she did ask me to play the Vcd for her after my Dad was done with the evening news. When everything was setup nicely, I went back to my room to listen to the “A Bittersweet Life” soundtrack that I just gotten with the Yesasia package.

Before I could finish the 5th track, my mom came into my room complaining (if not shouting) “So Stupid!”

“I never seen such a stupid movie before”

I was amused by her reaction. However I did wonder if I should feel hurt that she just trashed the movie I enjoyed and went around looking for it (both local stores and internet).

My Fifth Online Purchases: Yesasia!

Thanks to the Progress Package, I went and did it again. This time buying from both Yesasia (who is also having lower threshold of free shipping) & Ebay. The first Package that arrived was Yesasia!

was just on my way out when i saw the package on the dinning table!

gotto be the fattest parcel i ever received. couldn't wait and open the parcel while waiting at every traffic light. this time around, I am mass purchasing dvd, vcds and cd for my friends and we almost hit the normal minimum required amount for free shipping (rendering the special offer from Yesasia almost useless)

I got two items in this parcel .. one's a vcd of a Taiwan movie and another a Korean movie soundtrack.

A Bittersweet Life soundtrack ... I was expecting it in a normal Cd plastic form but it turn out cardboard holder ... which was quite a pity cos it looked great but there was a dent on the top right hand corner.

I liked the "signed" postcards inside,

the interior art design and of cos the awesome soundtracks but the only thing that irked me was that dented cover ... even the interior is dented... argh ,, I am thinking of returning this back and ask for another one.

The walkabout

Haven’t walk so much in a day for the longest time.

My Journey started at Great World City where I had my late lunch and was going to meet my friends for Tom Cruise’s Mi:3. Declining a free ride to my destination because there was a free bus ride from Great World City to Orchard Rd and luck wasn’t on my side, I missed the free ride by just mere seconds. I literally saw the bus going off in front of me.

The next free service was going to be half hour later and if I waited, I will be late for the show. So the next viable option would be the “paid” bus service and before I took a step towards the bus stop, I realized something …

Loki had my Ezlink card !!! Argh ! I left it with him when he helped me to collect points at Mac but I forgot to collect it back from him.

20 – 15 mins of fast walk to Cathay Cineleisure.

I made it in time but strangely, my friends wasn’t. Turn out that there was a mistake in the location. There’s another Cathay cinema in town and on one stretch of the road, yup now there are 2 Cathay Cineplex. Double Argh!! The show was supposed to start at 4.10pm and we (the other friend who thought it was the Orchard Cineleisure) had to rush down and hope that we won’t miss the opening segment of Mi.3 (which normally have some amazing sequences).

15 – 10 mins of fast walk cum bus ride to The Cathay.

Amazing, we didn’t miss a thing. We made it in time and we were still able to catch an “Over The Hedge” spoof of Mi3 trailer. But then the sound quality was simply terrible.

After the movie, I was supposed to collect “The Voice” posters on behalf of Linus because I was expecting to watch the preview of “Lie With Me” with Stefan. But just the day before, I was replaced by Shaiful as 1) cancellation of a rally (Thanks ah PAP!) and 2) age concern.

Still because I promised Linus that I will be collecting those posters, I begun my journey back down that long stretch of Orchard Road.

30 – 25 mins of slow walk to Shaw Lido.

And guess what? Patrick who was reviewing “The Voice” took the posters with him after he was done with the film.

Wa Liew! Another 30 mins of walk back to my place.
