meeting my first crush again after all these years

Just before visiting my Grandma at hospital, my sixth sense had a sudden flash that I will be meeting a old old friend. True enough, in my Grandma's room, whom she shared with a few others old ladies, I saw pretty girl visiting another patient at the far corner.

I can't help but steal a couple more glances at her than I normally would with other pretty girls as she look like my very first crush back in Primary school.

Yup that is don't know how many donkey years ago ... back before I faced numerous rejection and heartbreaks ... she was the number uno that I fell for and she don't even know about it ...

So when I finally mustered enough courage to asked if she is my first crush primary school mate, she was surprise to find out that I still remember her name when she confirm that we were school mates. I almost wanted to blurt out that I remember your name because you are the very first one that expose me to the notion that girls are not the enemy and they have this magnet that keeps drawing us boys to ... aka in love (in form of puppy or slavery)

Anyway, it turned out that She is married with one Son already ... heart did sank a bit when I learnt that cos my heart did play with the notion that maybe I might get my fairytale ending after all these while .... But still, it been great to catch up with such an old friend and I realize I need to work on my courage bit when speaking to pretty girls cos I was shaking like a leaf ... wonder if my first crush saw that or not : ) hahahaha

as far as the sky's edge, as near as next door

Was at the Warlords press con and while waiting for our turn to interview Andy Lau and Xu Jinglei, I overheard some ladies who were there to attend a Cosmetic Christmas event giggling about Andy Lau's presence and they were hopping that they might bump into him at the corridor (which is not impossible as he did leave the interview room to go for toilet and there's a chance to intercept him for photo opportunities, handshake and other stuffs)

In my mind, I was wondering what if you attend an event in a hotel function room and yet you are not even aware that your favourite star is just in the next function room, just one door away from you ... it will be so close yet so far and if it's not fated, a door can mean a world away

Then there this group of ladies who were entering the Cosmetic Function room and one of them look rather familiar .... (my eyes were rather blurry because I was so tired from rushing a video clip the night before n this morning) ... taking a close look, it turn out to be my poly friend

and not just any poly friend ... she was my crushee ... I had the longest crush on her during my poly days before I eventually got attached with my first serious gf...

She didn't really had time for small talk but meeting up in such manner left a bittersweet feeling ... it's nice bumping to her but then i wonder if our group gotten to interview the artist earlier, I won't get to meet her and all it took was just one door to be one world away

this past few press cons that I been to, there this girl that always catch my attention.

the first time I saw her, she was sitting a few rows in front of me and she turned around to speak to her friends ... caught my eyes and I can't help but stole a few glances at her. She reminded me of my "old" friend from Korea or some of those Korean actress that does not have those conventional beauty but still shine with her own type of attraction.

Eventually, I was able to remember why I found her so familiar ... she looked like a school mate from my university that I met and chat a few times before. But I wasn't sure cos I remember she was from Malaysia and the last I heard, she went back to Malaysia and thought she would have settled there for good.

after that, I been keeping a lookout whenever i attended celebrity(ies) press cons but never really thought of approaching her ... not sure why but I never really have the urge to see if she the schoolmate that i thought she was

it was until today ... while "cramping" some last min questions for the celebrities, someone approached me and tap my shoulder !

hehehe now .. if at this point, u think it was her .. NAH ... it wasn't ! it turned out to be my NSF BMT platoon mate ... a guy who been working his way into the media industry and now is there as a event coordinator or something ... we had a short chat which was rather enjoyable before he had to rush off to attend to the stars and i went back to cramping out questions

Now u might wonder ... what does my NSF BMT MATE got anything to do with this Girl? hahaha well ... when Linus and I were ushered to the interviewing floor, I found her seating by herself and she was working her questions too ... I thought to myself ... hmmm maybe I should approach her just like my BMT mate did to me... at the most, I got the wrong person and that's it ... no biggie ... and if it's the right person, then it would be fun to do some catch up

so I went up to her, sat beside her and asked: "Excuse me, Are you from Murdoch Uni?"

She gave me a blank look (stare ... i cant tell) ... which at that point, I thought oh oh ... wrong number ... but after a while, she gave me a nod ...

then i asked again ... "you won't happened to be LXX YXX?"

She was stunned that I remember her name ... and I had a good time chatting, catching up & exchange contact with her... and it turned out that her roommate that I had a crush on is in Singapore too ... what a small world ...
