nope I wasn't born with it ...

was kinda shock when my mom told me that her friend that I had it becos of a scar right between my lip and nose...

I guess it's because of Faye Wong and her daughter that my scar got the attention.

How did I got the scar ?

It was a dog ... not a big one but a small dog that I teased until it hided under a bed. Unwisely, I stuck my nose into places where I shouldn't and the small dog fought back.

and it was a holiday somemore ... cos I remember it was pretty hard to find a doctor and my whole mouth was filled with blood. At first I thought my whole lip came off but after the doctor wipe off the blood, it wasnt that bad. There are two cuts but the lips wasn't falling off as I thought it was.

after all that, I still like dogs ... I just didnt like the small noisy ones.

Andrew thinks that Jack Black is ...

I am getting worried ... first off , two friends of mine both said yes to the question that my nick is asking (same as the title of the post below)

then out of the blue, my third fren asked me, who is Jack Black and to show her, i went to search for the picture (the one above la) and send her the url... I thought it look nice as a wallpaper and saved it as one

Later on, my Nephew Andrew came into my room to sleep and as he was looking at my laptop, he noticed my wall paper and he pointed at it ... he called out "DA JIU!" (Big Uncle aka Me)

I felt like crying at that very moment

Pasta Express @ Hong Lim Market

Was near Hong Lim Market and been itching to try out the food there. There are a couple of food on my hitlist there such as the Outram Kuay Teow and Ipoh Hor Fun but today, I got craving for something western and there's one western outlet that doing well enough to be recommended by sbest.com

Pasta Express!

Went around the level 2 of Hong Lim Market during lunch time and it was packed with hungry office people. Pass by the Outram Kuay Teow and the queue was rather short but I was on about finding the pasta shop.

When I found it, I was surprised that it was flank by two stores that have super long queue. One is the Ipoh Hor Fun and the other one was selling Mushroom Noodles. Sadly, there was no queue for Pasta Express. Must be a damn hard place to have a store! To be stuck inbetween to super popular stores and these three stores were enclosed to one corner by themselves.

Anyway I pressed on and ordered

Fettuccine Carbonara

Goodies > It's really one of the best pasta I had in a market environment and It's even better than some of the pasta shops in shopping malls.

Yuckies > It didn't look like anything that it was advertised. Was a bit disappointed to find no egg on top of my pasta

Cost > $4
Returning (?) > Sure but then there are other stores to check out first

Do I look Like Jack Black to You ?

While watching the Nacho Libre trailer on tv, Denise commented that I look like Jack Black (in terms of body size of cos)... not believing her, I change my nick to the title above and wa la, less than 5 mins, a friend of mine actually commented that I do look like Jack Black! and asked me if anyone try to get autograph from me ...

well I am keep an eye out and my autograph pen ready ...
