Andrew could have been Ansell

was checking if my newly added Ram is working properly on my CPU (18 Jan 09) and found out that I named my PC as Ansell ... which means God's Protection. There's a joke about the name Ansell and it could have been Andrew's name (and since his birthday is around the corner ... I will save this post as a draft and to be published on his birthday ... yup it's today)

Back when he was in his mommy's pouch and I was in Australia, a list of possible names were chosen for him ... among the front runners, there was this name call Ansell ... look n sound unique which nowadays parents are going for ... (sidejoke, my teacher fren told me that one of his boy was named Enoch ... which is so sad)

I was thrilled and amused that was going to be my nephew's name cos ... that's the brand of a Condom in Aussie Land : ) YUP Ansell !!! God's protection for U n MEEEE hahaha

I was slightly disappointed that the name was dropped in the end

Andrew Berak Me

Berak means Shit in Malay

Was going to hospital to see my Dad and was stopped by Andrew at the door steps. He wanted to go out with me and normally I don't bring this little bugger along as I have difficulties in controlling him. But I thought SGH is close by and his Grandfolks would be delighted to see him, I gave him the ok after clearance from his Mom.

so off we go ... to a good start. He was very obedient and buckle up when requested. Had some meaningless chat about cars (this 4 years old knowledge on cars had exceeded mine) and other Kungfu stuff. In short, an enjoyable short ride.

Reached SGH carpark and waited for an empty lot. Saw one far behind and reversed back quickly to chop the lot before any cars come by. While reversing, Andrew who is leaning on the seat with his Bum up, gave me the Shrek's Puss in Boots look and said

"Da Jiu, I Berak"

I jam break and the first two words that went thru my mind was "NO BERAK", then it was "are you shitting me ???" (Puns weren't intended but it fitted very well to the situation)

I wasn't equipped nor prepare to deal with this and was freaking out on how to get this little shitter to his Grandma for clean up ops. and to think he was such a good boy till now ! Holy Shit?

Then I told him .. "Don't Move, Keep your Bum up from the Seats and don't touch the dashboard" "Let me finish reverse parking my car first"

After which, I looked at him and asked how come he never go before leaving my house. I was worried that he might have wanted to rush out to go on a car ride with me that he kept his incoming shit a secret from me. Then I asked him how bad was it and he gave me that "bo bian" (what to do / helpless ) look. I felt bad for him and suddenly he crack a smile !

I suspect something wasn't right and I kept asking him whether did he really Berak in his pants. This chronic young talented liar kept saying he did. it was until I told him that I won't be mad at him if he didn't then he broke into laughter !

I can't believe I been shited on fooled by a 4 years old !!!

During the recent computer fair, I asked Chew Cher to pick up a budget dvd player so I can give my Mom a early Birthday Present ... also partly for them to let their grandson watch DVD so that they could have some free time from him.

What I didn't expect was that Chew Cher got one dvd player with Karaoke function and just the night before, Andrew had been performing for my parents and others at Woodlands. In the end, they were more excited about the Karaoke function than the dvd player itself! ... and I gotten a couple Dvds from Library for Andrew to watch but before the dvd player could come out of the box, the grandma/son team was busy seeking the Mic out.

Make Love on the Floor!

Was cooking in the kitchen when Andrew came along and played with a tub of water at the sink (thinking back, I think he is mimicking me cooking instant noodle).

Grandma came along and to watch over him and this little guy asked Grandma for some salt ... which he poured into the tub of water and stir to his heart content, asking for some more salt as he stirred passionately

then Grandma told me while I am pouring my instant noodle water away that she thought Andrew asked her to Somersault (Some More Salt) and she wonder how is she going to do that in that small tub (ya they loved him so much that they will do anything he ask for)

Later on ... Grandma shared with me that recently she heard something truly disturbing from Andrew Mouth ... at this young age, he is forced to memorise and recite some poem (that not the scary bit ... it's coming soon in the next paragraph)

She heard Andrew reciting "Daddy cooking in the kitchen ... blab blab blab ... Make Love on the floor!"

for weeks ! yeah 2 weeks .... she wonder why is Andrew reciting such pornography material ... (no Da Jiu didn't share any private collection with him yet) ... it was until Andrew Mom asked Grandma to help out with Andrew Home Education and passed her the book that contain the poem that Andrew had been reciting and realized it was actually

Andrew's new hideout

While shopping at Ikea 2 days ago, this little bugger had so much fun crawling in and out of this blue tent that we decided to get one for him
and look at the little bugger ... so happy

One evening, I came back found him sleeping in this tent ...

and I was told that because of this tent, he is more willing to take his afternoon naps ... hehehe so cute ... I bet this tent must be like his little fortress

How to stop Andrew from Misbehaving

Was stuck with Andrew in a tin car and he was throwing a tantrum ... kicking and punching his grandpa ... normally I don't want to get involved with his education but I couldn't take it anymore ....

It was raining outside and I got no idea how long more do I have to put up the the noise pollution.

With a stroke of "genius - ism " , I took out my Hp cum camera and attempted to video his behaviour ....

and wah la !

the misbehaving stopped immediately ... this little bugger is smart enough to know that the video will be used against him and it's better not to have such incriminating evidence available in the hands of one who has no qualm in using it (even during his 21st birthday)

sometime dealing with a smart kid like him requires dirty underhanded tricks .... those who are dealing with kids like this ... u might want to use this idea : ) this post serve not much purpose except to pat my own back : )

Andrew's Ultraman

recently, Ultraman had a 40th anniversary celebration with a movie that was only released in the Dvd format in Singapore ... when I saw bits of it, it was a jolly good old time to relive my past

since it was rather cheap, only 18 bucks, I got one copy for Andrew to see if he will like it or not ... there's indication he might since he liked Jet Li's Fearless , Ultraman might just be up his alley ...

and I was wrong .... it wasn't like ... it was LOVE !!! I lost the number of times that he watched this movie already .... he liked it so much that whenever he misbehave, I could use Ultraman as a leverage!

Throw things around ... No Ultraman for you!

I think he liked it so much, he hid it under the piano chair but forgotten about it ... making me n his grandma search for hours !

That Bugger Tried to Knock me Down

Just came back and this little bugger came charging at me with his bike in the living room ... again at the corridor and finally at the kitchen. Did it with an evil grin in his face (this guy is a monster i tell U)

then my mom told me that he did it becos he love me ... WOW !

I am getting worried ... first off , two friends of mine both said yes to the question that my nick is asking (same as the title of the post below)

then out of the blue, my third fren asked me, who is Jack Black and to show her, i went to search for the picture (the one above la) and send her the url... I thought it look nice as a wallpaper and saved it as one

Later on, my Nephew Andrew came into my room to sleep and as he was looking at my laptop, he noticed my wall paper and he pointed at it ... he called out "DA JIU!" (Big Uncle aka Me)

I felt like crying at that very moment

Andrew's Second Birthday

What is the colour of Orange ?

On the First Day of CNY, at the first place of visit, Denise was carrying Andrew and gave him a packet of Orange Juice and then proceeds to ask,

"What the colour of Orange ah?"

Andrew replied innocently "Orange!"

I just stared at them blankly ...

Singapore Snow Blitz

While Andrew's Grandparents are learning how to "Cha Cha Cha", Denise and I brought Andrew to Tanglin Mall's Snow Fest! After dropping them and parking my car at the basement car park (which a lot of other visiting cars didnt and park along the road beside Tanglin Mall ~ tsk tsk tsk), I wonder how am I going to find Denise and Andrew (Since I am holding her HP and there so much soapy forms/many kids around)



The first person I saw was not Denise but someone famous instead ... guess who ?

and pretty soon, I found her hubby nearby playing with their son ... I was getting worried cos if I am not able to find them now, how will I be able to find them when the snow machine starts ?

Then nearby a foam cannon, all dressed up for the snowing, I finally found them. Well I would have nearly missed Andrew cos he was almost hidden by the snow foam but lucky Denise was taller and was wearing black (which make it easier in the midst of lots of white)

Just before we made our way back home, Andrew stopped by a toy shop and refused to budge. Kinda amusing the way he put his hands behind his back and look like he was inspecting the toys. ~aye sir, we will move faster now~

It’s never too young to start working as a Child Labor

Came back today and saw little Andrew sweeping the floor with a broom taller than him. Never Expect to see child exploitation at my place but there u go ... it's never too young to start them.

Was pretty tired but when Andrew came screaming and running thru the custom gates, it was all worth it.
yup he greeted Denise as "Jie Jie" and guess what he called me? "AMEX!"hehehe served me right for flashing Amex Cards (among others DBS / POSB cards) as Flash Cards in front of him. I was told he did call me "Jui Jui" / "Dai Jui" = "Uncle" / "Big Uncle" but it was all done behind my backs.
Then he started asking for Nissian Car Keys to play with and started throwing my bank cards all over the airport floor. Yup the cute Andrew is back !

and on his 20th month, he fell from the playground's monkey bars and resulting in a deep cut . Guess he just reach the period when every parents fear most : the accident prone period


well at least he got a mini ice-cream cone to celebrate for his 20th month on Earth
